HH The Amir Receives US Secretary of State

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received HE US Secretary of State Rex Tillerson and his accompanying delegation at Al Bahr Palace on Tuesday.

During the meeting, they discussed the latest developments in the Gulf crisis and its regional and international implications, and reviewed US efforts in support of the State of Kuwait's mediation to resolve it through dialogue and diplomatic means.

They also reviewed joint efforts in the fight against terrorism and extremism within regional and international efforts exerted to uproot this phenomenon in all its forms and manifestations.

The meeting also discussed the strategic relations between the two friendly countries and means of enhancing them in various fields.
