HH The Amir Receives U.N. Secretary General's Humanitarian Envoy

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received at his Amiri Diwan office on Monday U.N. Secretary General's Humanitarian Envoy, HE Dr. Ahmed bin Mohammed Al Muraikhi.

At the start of the meeting, the U.N. secretary-general's humanitarian envoy thanked HH The Amir for the aids and support the State of Qatar provides for the humanitarian and relief projects around the world. He then briefed HH The Amir on the results of his recent field visit to the Syrian refugee camps in neighboring countries and his future plans to support humanitarian work in areas of famine, conflict, and humanitarian disasters in some world countries.

The meeting also reviewed cooperation ties between Qatar and the organization in the different humanitarian fields.
