HH The Amir Holds Talks with President of Kazakhstan

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a session of talks with HE President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev, at the Amiri Diwan today.

The session was attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani the Personal Representative of HH The Amir.

A number of Their Excellencies the ministers also attended the session.

On the Kazakh side, the talks were attended by members of the official delegation accompanying President Nazarbayev.

The talks tackled the two countries relations and means to develop them in different spheres, particularly the economic field, in addition to a number of regional and international issues of common concern.

Following the talks, HH The Amir and the President Nazarbayev witnessed the signing of an agreement on visa waiver for holders of diplomatic and special passports between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan, a cooperation agreement in cultural and artistic fields between the Government of the State of Qatar and the Government of the Republic of Kazakhstan and a memorandum of understanding between Qatar Central Bank and the National Bank of Kazakhstan.

HE President of Kazakhstan Nursultan Nazarbayev arrived earlier at the Amiri Diwan where he was accorded an official reception ceremony.

HH The Amir hosted a luncheon banquet on honor of President Nazarbayev and the accompanying delegation.
