HH The Amir Holds Official Talks Session with Tajikistan President

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a session of official talks at Lusail Palace today with HE President of the friendly Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon.

At the beginning of the session, HH The Amir welcomed HE the Tajik President and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a good stay and the relations between the two countries further progress and development in different fields to meet the aspirations of the two friendly peoples. His Highness lauded the level of Qatari-Tajik cooperation, especially in investment sectors and trade exchange.

For his part, HE the Tajik President thanked HH The Amir for the good reception and hospitality, hoping that the talks with His Highness would contribute to reinforcing and upgrading the cooperation to broader horizons.

During the session, the two sides discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and the avenues for supporting and upgrading them in a variety of cooperation fields, especially in economy, energy, trade, investment, and agriculture, in addition to discussing the prominent regional and global developments of common concern, particularly the developments in Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories.

The session was attended by HE Minister of Interior and Commander of the Internal Security Force (Lekhwiya) Sheikh Khalifa bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, HE Minister of Labour Dr. Ali bin Saeed bin Samikh Al Marri, HE Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulaziz Al Khulaifi, alongside a number of Their Excellencies high-ranking officials.

From the Tajik side, the session was attended by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Sirojiddin Muhriddin, HE Assistant to the President of the Republic on Foreign Relations Sharifi Azamsho Latifzod, HE Assistant to the President on Economic Affairs Nematullo Hikmatullozoda, HE Minister of Economic Development and Trade Zavqizoda Zavqi, HE Minister of Industry and New Technologies Sherali Kabir, HE Minister of Energy and Water Resources Daler Juma, HE Minister of Labor, Immigration and Population Employment Gulnara Hassanzadeh, HE Minister of Culture Dvlatzoda Zulfiya, HE Minister of Finance Fayziddin Qahhorda, HE Minister of Agriculture Qurbon Hakimzoda, alongside a number of members of the accompanying official delegation.

HH The Amir and HE the Tajik President held a bilateral meeting during which they discussed several topics of common interest.

HH The Amir held a luncheon banquet in honor of HE the President and his accompanying delegation.

HE the President of the Republic of Tajikistan was accorded an official reception upon his arrival at Lusail Palace.
