HH The Amir and Korean President Hold Official Talks Session

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of the Republic of Korea Yoon Suk Yeol held a session of official talks at the Amiri Diwan today morning.

At the beginning of the session, HH The Amir welcomed HE the Korean President and his accompanying delegation, wishing them a pleasant stay and looking forward that this visit will contribute to consolidating the cooperation relations and partnership to serve the interests of both countries. In this regard, His Highness stressed his keenness to strengthen the bilateral relations between the two countries, especially with the approaching of the 50th anniversary of establishing the diplomatic relation between both countries, which the two countries will celebrate in 2024, wishing the Qatari-Korean relations further development and growth.

For his part, HE the Korean President expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the warm reception and generous hospitality, stressing his keenness on developing cooperation relations between the two countries and pushing them to broader prospects in multiple fields, while strengthening the cooperation between the two countries regionally and internationally.

During the session, they discussed bilateral relations between the two countries and ways of supporting and developing them in all fields, especially in energy, investment, and culture domains, in addition to discussing the most prominent regional and international developments of common interest.

The talks session was attended by HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, HE Minister of Municipality Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie, HE Minister of State for Energy Affairs Eng. Saad bin Sherida Al Kaabi, HE Minister of Commerce and Industry Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad bin Qassim Al-Thani, HE Minister of Culture Sheikh Abdulrahman bin Hamad Al-Thani, HE Minister of State for Foreign Affairs Sultan bin Saad Al Muraikhi, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials.

On the Korean side, the session was attended by HE Minister of Foreign Affairs Park Jin, HE Minister of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs Chung Hwang-keun, HE Minister of Trade, Industry and Energy Bang Moon-kyu, HE Minister of Land, Infrastructure and Transport Won Hee-ryong, and a number of Their Excellencies member of the official delegation accompanying HE the President.

HH The Amir and HE the Korean President also held a bilateral meeting, during which they discussed a range of topics of common interest.

HH The Amir also hosted a luncheon banquet in honor of HE the President of Republic of Korea and his accompanying delegation.

HE the President of the Republic of Korea was accorded an official reception ceremony upon arrival at the Amiri Diwan.
