HH The Amir Receives U.S. Senator

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received at his Amiri Diwan office this morning HE Senator from Kansas State in the friendly United States of America Dr. Roger Marshall, on the occasion of his visit to the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed the strategic relations of friendship and cooperation between the State of Qatar and the United States of America, in addition to exchanging views on regional and international developments.

HE Dr. Roger Marshall handed to HH The Amir the Resolution of the U.S. Senates expressing thanks and appreciation to the State of Qatar’s efforts and critical role in assisting the United States to evacuate thousands of United States citizens, lawful permanent residents, vulnerable Afghans, and their families from Afghanistan, in addition to Qatar's pivotal role in harboring thousands of evacuees.

For his part, HH The Amir thanked the Senate for this decision, reaffirming Qatar's permanent position in supporting international humanitarian work and making all efforts to bring peace in the region and the world.
