HH The Amir Sends Written Message to President of Afghanistan

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani sent on Thursday a written message to HE President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan Dr. Mohammad Ashraf Ghani, pertaining to bilateral ties, the means to enhance and develop them, and the State of Qatar's support for the peace, stability, and national reconciliation process in Afghanistan.

The message was delivered by HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution Dr. Mutlaq bin Majed Al Qahtani, during a meeting today with HE President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in Kabul.

HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy for Counterterrorism and Mediation in Conflict Resolution conveyed the greetings of HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to HE the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan, and His Highness wishes to the people of Afghanistan of further progress and prosperity.

For his part, HE President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan entrusted HE the Minister of Foreign Affairs' Special Envoy to convey his greetings to HH The Amir, and his wishes to HH The Amir of health and happiness, and the Qatari people constant prosperity and development.

During the meeting, the President of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan expressed thanks and appreciation for the continuous efforts of HH The Amir to mediate between the Afghan parties, and the State of Qatar's endeavor to realize the aspiration of the Afghan people for peace in Afghanistan.
