HH The Amir Attends Reception Ceremony on Occasion of Announcing Partnership Between Qatar Museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani attended a reception ceremony held at the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York on the occasion of announcing a new partnership with Qatar Museums.

HH The Amir toured the museum and visited the Islamic Art Collection area, now named Qatar Gallery, to view its archaeological and historic holdings, as well as its Islamic manuscripts and artwork. HH The Amir was also briefed during the tour on the outcome of the fruitful cooperation between Qatar Museums and the Metropolitan Museum of Art.

Afterwards, HH The Amir attended a luncheon banquet held for that occasion.

The ceremony was attended by Chairperson of Qatar Museums HE Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad Al Thani, a number of Their Excellencies members of the accompanying official delegation, ranking officials, and guests of the reception ceremony.
