HH The Amir Meets Iraqi President

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met today in Algiers with HE President of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Abdul Latif Rashid, on the sidelines of the 31st regular session of the Council of the League of Arab States at the summit level, which was held today at the Centre International de Conferences Alger (Abdullatif Rahal) at the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria.

During the meeting, they discussed bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries, and discussed a number of developments of mutual interest, foremost of which is strengthening joint Arab action, in addition to exchanging views on the most prominent topics on the summit's agenda.

The meeting was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, HE Chief of the Amiri Diwan Sheikh Saoud Bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, HE Minister of Finance Ali bin Ahmed Al Kuwari, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation. On the Iraqi side, it was attended by HE Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Fuad Hussein, and a number of ranking officials accompanying HE the President.
