HH The Amir and Algerian President Attend the Launch and Inauguration of Joint Projects
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of the People’s Democratic Republic of Algeria Abdelmadjid Tebboune, attended today in Algiers at the Centre International de Conferences Alger (Abdullatif Rahal) the inauguration of the Algerian-Qatari-German hospital project, set to be established in Algeria.
HH The Amir and HE the Algerian President also witnessed, during the ceremony, the inauguration of a steel plant project of the Algerian-Qatari Steel Company.
In this regard, HH The Amir and the Algerian President expressed their satisfaction with the level of fraternal cooperation between Qatar and Algeria, especially in the fields of health, medical services, investment, and industry in a manner that serves the interests of the two brotherly peoples and enhances the principles of joint Arab cooperation.
At the beginning of the ceremony, verses from the Holy Quran were recited, followed by playing the national anthems of both countries. Afterwards, a number of senior officials from both sides gave speeches on this occasion.
A documentary film on the two projects was also shown. It reviewed their role in meeting local needs, and their expected contributions to the economy, health, and society in Algeria.
The ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir and a number of businessmen. On the Algerian side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
