HH The Amir Receives German Chancellor

His Highness The Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on Monday HE Chancellor of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Angela Merkel and the accompanying delegation, at the residence of the Permanent Mission of the State of Qatar to the United Nations, on the sidelines of the 74th session of the UN General Assembly in New York.

The meeting discussed the strategic relations between the two friendly countries and ways of developing them in the fields of economic and trade cooperation. HE the German Chancellor expressed thanks to HH The Amir for Qatar's investments in Germany. The two sides also exchanged views on key international developments as well as the developments in the Middle East, particularly in Libya.

The meeting was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.
