HH The Amir Receives Riyad Hijab

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received Monday the Chairman of the High Committee of the Syrian negotiations Dr Riyad Hijab and his accompanying delegation at the headquarters of Qatar's Permanent Mission to the United Nations in New York.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 71st UN General Assembly.

At the beginning of the meeting, Dr Riyad briefed HH The Amir on the latest developments of the situation in Syria, the Syrian coalition's vision to resolve the Syrian crisis and conflict in Syria in the light of the stalled implementation of international solutions, as well as the regime's continued brutal acts that include the mass killings and forced relocations against defenseless Syrian people.

During the meeting, they also discussed international efforts to put an end to the Syrian crisis and its repercussions in the region, where HH The Amir stressed the State of Qatar's solidarity with the Syrian people in their crisis to alleviate their suffering.

The official delegation accompanying HH The Amir attended the meeting.
