HH The Amir and President of Paraguay Witness Signing of Agreements, MoUs

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of the Republic of Paraguay Mario Abdo Benitez witnessed the signing of a number of agreements and memorandums of understanding between the governments of the two countries at the Presidential Palace in Asuncion on Wednesday evening.

They witnessed the signing of an agreement on the abolition of visa requirements for holders of diplomatic, official and private passports, an air services agreement aimed at facilitating and regulating air transport operations between the two countries, and an agreement on cooperation in the cultural field.

His Highness and HE the President also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of tourism and business activities aimed at exploring the aspects of tourism and exchanging experiences between the two sides, and a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the fields of youth and sports aimed at exchanging experiences in youth and sports affairs and exchanging or establishing sports camps between the two countries, in addition to a memorandum of understanding on judicial cooperation between the Supreme Judicial Council and the Supreme Court of the Republic of Paraguay for exchanging judicial experiences between the two sides.

The signing ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.

It was attended from the Paraguayan side by HE the Vice President Hugo Velazquez, and a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
