HH The Amir, Ghana's President Hold Talks
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE the President of the Republic of Ghana Nana Akufo-Addo held a session of official talks at the Presidential Palace in Accra on Sunday.
At the outset of the talks session, HE the President welcomed HH The Amir and the accompanying delegation, expressing his appreciation and thanks for responding to the invitation to visit Ghana. He also appreciated the visit which comes within the mutual visits between the two countries, hoping that it will take the relations between the two countries to new heights.
The Ghanaian President reiterated his country's keenness to develop bilateral cooperation with Qatar, especially in the energy, infrastructure, air transport, sports, youth and food security fields.
On his part, HH The Amir thanked HE the President and the Ghanaian people for the warm reception and hospitality accorded to him and his delegation, affirming the common desire to deepen bilateral relations and expand cooperation in common fields between the two countries.
HH The Amir and HE the President of Ghana discussed aspects of supporting and developing the relations between the two countries and how to deepen the joint cooperation between them in various fields for the benefit of both countries and peoples.
The two sides also discussed the overall regional and international developments, especially the most important issues in the Middle East and the African continent.
The meeting was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir as well as a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials from Ghana.
