HH The Deputy Amir Visits Ministry of the Interior’s New Building

His Highness The Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani visited the new building of the Ministry of the Interior in Wadi Al Sail area on Thursday morning.

HH The Deputy Amir was briefed during the visit on the model of the Ministry’s building and he also listened to a detailed explanation by senior ministry officials about the building, its design inspired from Qatari architectural heritage as well as its most facilities and modern equipment.

The visit also included a tour of the Museum of the Police in the building, which contains an ancient collection of weapons, equipment, tools, documents, ancient uniforms of police officers documenting the stages of evolution of the Qatari Police in addition to a model of the oldest police station in Qatar.

HH The Deputy Amir also toured the facilities of the building where he was briefed on modern security equipment and techniques that keep pace with the latest art technology in this area taking into account the functions of the ministry and service in the security field.

HH The Deputy Amir was accompanied during the tour by HE the Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Abdullah bin Nasser bin Khalifa Al Thani.
