HH The Amir Holds a Phone Call with Egyptian President

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, held today a phone call with HE President Abdel Fattah Al-Sisi President of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

During the call, they discussed developments in the Gaza Strip and the occupied Palestinian territories and joint mediation efforts with a view to reaching an immediate and lasting ceasefire agreement in Gaza, thereby releasing prisoners and detainees and providing humanitarian aid sustainably to all areas of the Gaza Strip.

During the call, HH The Amir and the Egyptian President stressed the need to intensify mediation efforts during the next phase, in cooperation with all regional and international partners, in a bid to stop the war on the Gaza Strip and put an end to the suffering of civilians.

The two sides also discussed the bilateral relations and ways to develop them, in addition to a number of regional and international issues.
