HH The Amir Receives Phone Call from President of Germany

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on Tuesday a phone call from HE President of the Federal Republic of Germany Dr. Frank-Walter Steinmeier.

During the call, they discussed the latest developments on regional and international issues of common interest, particularly, the developments in Afghanistan. In this regard, HE President of the Federal Republic of Germany expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the effective contribution of the State of Qatar in the evacuation of civilians and its efforts in the peace process in Afghanistan.

Both sides also reviewed the relations of cooperation and friendship between the two countries and ways of enhancing them. HE President of the Federal Republic of Germany expressed his aspiration to visit Qatar.
