HH The Amir Holds Phone Call with Chairman of Presidential Council of Libya

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on Thursday evening a phone call from HE Chairman of the Presidential Council of the Government of National Accord of the State of Libya Fayez Al Sarraj, during which they discussed the close cooperation relations between the two countries and ways of enhancing them.

HE Fayez Al Sarraj briefed HH The Amir on the latest developments in the situation in Libya, and the efforts made to establish and enhance security and stability.

HH The Amir affirmed the State of Qatar's firm and supportive stance to the brotherly Libyan people and its support for the internationally recognized government of national accord.

Also, the call touched on the efforts made by the State of Qatar and Libya to combat the novel coronavirus (COVID-19) by limiting and preventing its spread, and ways of cooperation in this field.
