HH The Amir Holds Telephone Talks with Palestinian President

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone conversation this evening with President Mahmoud Abbas of the Palestine State, on the latest developments on the Palestinian arena.

President Abbas briefed HH The Amir on the results of his meetings with the US delegation headed by the US President's senior advisor Jared Kushner, and the efforts exerted to resume the peace process.

Discussions during the phone call also dealt with international efforts aimed at finding a lasting, just and comprehensive solution to the Palestinian question.

The Palestinian President expressed his appreciation to HH The Amir for the State of Qatar's firm stance in support of the Palestinian cause.

The two sides also discussed the assistance provided by the State of Qatar to the Palestinian people, especially the reconstruction projects in the Gaza Strip, and exchanged views on a number of regional and international issues of common interest.
