HH The Amir Checks on Senator John McCain's Health

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Senator John McCain, member of the United States Senate, to check on his health and congratulate him on the success of the surgery that he underwent.

Senator McCain expressed his deep thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the gesture as well as the kind sentiments that HH The Amir showed, which reflected the depth of Qatari-American ties.

During the conversation, the two sides also exchanged views on developments in the Middle East, notably the Gulf crisis, in addition to a set of issues of common concern.
