HH The Amir Issues Three Decrees

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued today the Decree No. 40 of 2018 approving the accession of the State of Qatar to the International Covenant on Civil and Political Rights, the text of which is attached to this Decree, and to have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

HH The Amir also issued the Decree No. 41 of 2018 approving the accession of the State of Qatar to the International Covenant on Economic, Social and Cultural Rights, the text of which is annexed to this Decree, and to have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

HH The Amir also issued the Decree No. 43 of 2018 ratifying a memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the fields of energy between the Ministry of Energy and Industry of the State of Qatar and the Department of Energy of the United States of America, signed in Washington on 30/1/2018, the text of which is annexed to this Decree, and to have the force of law in line with Article 68 of the constitution.

The decrees are effective starting from their date of issue and are to be published in the official gazette.
