HH The Amir Issues Decision Reforming Qatar University's Board of Trustees

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued on Monday Amiri Decision No. 64 of 2018 reforming the Board of Trustees of Qatar University.

The decision stipulated that the Board of Trustees of Qatar University be reformed with HH Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al-Thani as chairman and HE Sheikh Dr. Abdullah bin Ali bin Saoud Al-Thani as vice chairman. The members of the Board of Trustees will include: HE Minister of Administrative Development, Labor and Social Affairs, Dr. Issa bin Saad Al Jafali Al Nuaimi, HE Minister of Education and Higher Education Dr. Mohammed bin Abdul Wahed Al Hammadi, HE Minister of Development Planning and Statistics Dr. Saleh bin Mohammad Al Nabit, HE Minister of Public Health Dr. Hanan Mohamed Al Kuwari, Chairman of Qatari Businessmen Association HE Sheikh Faisal bin Qassim Al-Thani, HE Dr. Hessa Sultan Al Jaber, HE Dr. Ibrahim Ibrahim, Ali Ahmed Al Kuwari, Faisal Mohammed Al Suwaidi and a number of qualified, experienced and scientific status, from inside or outside the country.

The decision also stipulated that the duration of membership is four years, which maybe extended by one period or more similar periods.

The decision ordered all competent authorities, each within its own jurisdiction, to implement it. The decision is effective from its date of issues and is to be published in the official gazette.
