HH The Amir and Italian Prime Minister Discuss Bilateral Relations, Regional and International Issues
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE Prime Minister of the Italian Republic Giuseppe Conte discussed the strong bilateral relations and ways of promoting them in all fields, in light of the distinct friendly ties and growing cooperation between the two countries, especially in the fields of energy, economy, education, health, culture and investment.
During the working lunch, hosted by HE the Italian Prime Minister at Villa Doria Pamphili in Rome on Tuesday, the two sides discussed a number of regional and international issues, especially the Gulf crisis and Italy's stance that calls for resolving the issue through dialogue and diplomatic means. In addition, they reviewed the international efforts, in particular the Italian and Qatari efforts, to help maintain security and stability in Libya. HE the Italian Prime Minister praised the role of the State of Qatar in this regard.
The working lunch was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir, and a number of Their Excellencies senior officials from the Italian side.
Upon the arrival at Villa Doria Pamphili, HH The Amir was accorded an official reception ceremony.
