HH The Amir Receives U.S. Secretary of State

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received this evening in his Lusail Palace office HE Secretary of State of the United States of America, Antony Blinken, who is visiting the country.

During the meeting, the two sides discussed the strategic relations between the two friendly countries and ways to develop them, in addition to several regional and international issues of common concern, primarily the latest developments in the Gaza Strip and the Occupied Palestinian Territories.

In this regard, HH The Amir stressed the necessity of working towards an immediate ceasefire and protecting civilians, a sufficient and sustainable humanitarian aid delivery into all areas of the Gaza Strip, and working to reduce the escalation in order to ensure stability and security in the region.

HE Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani attended the meeting.
