HH The Amir Receives Speaker of Libyan House of Representatives

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received this morning at his Amiri Diwan office, HE Speaker of the House of Representatives of the State of Libya Aguila Saleh and the accompanying delegation, on the occasion of his visit to the country.

At the outset of the meeting, the Speaker of the Libyan House of Representatives briefed HH The Amir on the latest developments of the situation in Libya, expressing thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the State of Qatar's continuous and constant support to the State of Libya and its people.

For his part, HH The Amir reiterated Qatar's stance towards the brotherly Libyan people, supporting their choices and achieving their aspirations for development and prosperity for the sake of Libya's unity and stability.

During the meeting, they discussed aspects of developing and strengthening cooperation between the two countries, the current developments in Libya, and several regional and international issues.

Speaker of the Shura Council HE Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanim attended the meeting.
