HH The Amir Meets U.S. Congress Delegation

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received today the U.S. Congress delegation including representative Sean Patrick Maloney from New York, Rick Larsen from Washington and representative Nanette Barragan from California, who are all members of the Democratic Party, at Amiri Diwan on the occasion of their visit to the country.

During the meeting, they reviewed strategic relations of friendship and cooperation between Qatar and the United States of America, and ways of supporting and strengthening them in various fields, especially in the areas of politics, economy, defense, health and education. The delegation also valued the the strong cooperation between the two countries, and the hosting of Al Udaid Airbase in Qatar.

During the meeting, they also exchanged views on regional and international developments.
