HH The Amir Holds Official Talks with President of Tajikistan

His Highness The Amir of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a session of official talks with HE President of the Republic of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, at the "Palace of Nations" in Dushanbe on Saturday morning.

At the outset of the session, HE the President of Tajikistan welcomed HH The Amir on his first visit to the Republic of Tajikistan. He looked forward to strengthening the relations between the two countries in various fields, and invited HH The Amir to pay an official visit to Tajikistan.

For his part, HH The Amir extended congratulations to HE the President of Tajikistan for his country's hosting of the Fifth summit of Conference on Interaction and Confidence-Building Measures in Asia (CICA). HH The Amir underlined the significance of his visit to the Republic of Tajikistan which comes after 25 years of the establishment of relations between the two countries, and stressed the importance of promoting the bilateral relations, noting that there are huge and multiple opportunities for developing joint and distinct relations between the two countries. HH the Amir welcomed the invitation of HE the President of Tajikistan to pay an official visit to the Republic.

The talks reviewed the relations and friendship and cooperation between the two countries and means of enhancing and bolstering them in various fields.

The talks also tackled the latest developments on the regional and international arenas, as well as key topics listed on the agenda of the CICA summit.

The session of talks was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH the Amir. from the Tajik side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers.
