HH The Amir Receives President of the 76th Session of the UN General Assembly

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with HE President of the 76th Session of the United Nations General Assembly Abdulla Shahid, at the UN headquarters in New York today.

At the outset of the meeting, HH The Amir congratulated HE Abdulla Shahid for assuming the presidency of the current session of the UN General Assembly, wishing him success in his mission.

Talks during the meeting covered the most prominent regional and international developments, in addition to a number of topics of common concern, especially those listed on the agenda of the 76th Session.

HE President of the UN General Assembly Abdulla Shahid expressed thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the support provided by the State of Qatar to humanitarian and relief projects across the world, especially the educational and development projects.

The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.

A number of senior officials in the office of the President of the UN General Assembly also attended the meeting.
