HH The Amir, President of Tunisia Give Joint Press Remarks
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani, affirmed that the Qatari-Tunisian relations are very strong and a role model, indicating that his talks with HE President of the Republic of Tunisia Kais Saied dealt with means to develop the outstanding relations between the two countries in political, investment, security and defense fields; and reiterating His Highness' keenness to develop them.
HH The Amir also noted the two countries' convergence on matters concerning the Arab as well as other issues.
During his joint press remarks with the HE President of Tunisia at the Presidential Palace of Carthage in Tunis this evening, His Highness extended thanks to HE the President and to the brotherly people of Tunisia for the good reception. HH The Amir expressed his aspiration for a visit by HE the Tunisian President to the State of Qatar soon.
For his part, HE Tunisian President affirmed his keenness to develop the fraternal relationship with Qatar, recalling Qatar's economic supportive positions towards Tunisia since 2011, turning the debts into investments.
HE the Tunisian President stressed that HH The Amir's visit would contribute to opening promising horizons for both sides to develop and enrich cooperation between the two countries, adding that the visit will be the opening of other meetings and visits to serve the interests of the Islamic and Arab nations, and contribute to making a bright history of bilateral relations in the Arab world.
His Excellency also indicated that the talks touched upon the Palestinian cause and the Libyan crisis.
