HH The Amir and Pakistan Prime Minister Witness Signing of Several MoUs
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE Primer Minister of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan Imran Khan on Saturday witnessed the signing of a number of memorandums of understanding (MoUs) between the governments of two countries.
They witnessed the signing of a MoU, between Qatar's Ministry of Commerce and Industry and Pakistan's Ministry of Commerce and Textile Industry, on the establishment of Qatari-Pakistani Joint Working Group on Trade and Investment, in addition to a MoU for cooperation in the fields of tourism and business activities.
HH The Amir and the Prime Minister of Pakistan also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding to cooperate in the exchange of financial investigations pertinent to money laundering, related original crime and the financing of terrorism between the Financial Information Unit of the State of Qatar and the Financial Control Unit of the Islamic Republic of Pakistan. The MoU aims to enhance cooperation between the two bodies to effectively reduce and combat money laundering and terrorist financing.
The signing ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.
on the Pakistani side it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
