HH The Amir Receives Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received on Wednesday HE Director of the U.S. Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) Gina Haspel and her accompanying delegation, at His Highness’s residence in Washington DC.

The meeting reviewed the strategic bilateral cooperation in security fields and the scope for expanding them. Her Excellency expressed her thanks to HH The Amir for the role the State of Qatar plays in the field of counter-terrorism, and for its cooperation with the U.S. in that regard.

The meeting also dealt with the latest regional and international developments, particularly developments of peace talks in Afghanistan. She praised the State of Qatar's patronage of the Intra- Afghan dialogue.

The meeting was attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.
