HH The Amir Meets Premier of State Council of China
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met on Thursday morning with HE Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China Li Keqiang at the Council's headquarters in Beijing.
At the beginning of the meeting, the Premier of the State Council of China welcomed HH The Amir and the accompanying delegation, pointing out that the relations with the State of Qatar are proceeding properly and deeply in the areas of consistent cooperation. He also stressed the importance of preserving these relations, especially under the serious events that are currently taking place in the political arena.
HE the Premier of the State Council of China said that maintaining the sound development in the bilateral relations between the State of Qatar and China has economic, commercial and political benefits for the peoples of the two countries.
For his part, HH The Amir hailed the development of the Qatari-Chinese relations, especially in the political, commercial and other areas, stressing that his visit will open new horizons of cooperation between the two countries.
HH The Amir pointed out that the political and economic conditions in all parts of the world require communication and cooperation between the two countries, hailing in this regard the role played by China in the region, especially in the Arab region, and looking forward for China to have a greater role.
Regarding the current Gulf crisis, HH The Amir praised China's stance towards it, affirming that the only solution to all differences is through dialogue.
The meeting also dealt with aspects of supporting and enhancing strategic cooperation between the two friendly countries in various fields such as economy, investment, energy, agriculture, tourism, culture, youth and sports as well as the current issues at the regional and international levels.
The meeting was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.
On the Chinese side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and senior officials.
