HH The Amir and the President of Argentina Witness Signing of Agreement and MoUs

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE the President of the Argentine Republic Mauricio Macri have witnessed the signing of an agreement and a number of memorandums of understanding between the two governments at the presidential palace in Buenos Aires.

Both parties were present during the signing of a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in the field of education, higher education and scientific research, aimed at consolidating and encouraging cooperation in the fields of education and science, as well as a memorandum of understanding on cooperation in sports affairs between the Ministry of Culture and Sports in Qatar and the General Secretariat of Sports of the Argentine Republic to encourage further opportunities in sport cooperation between the two countries, while benefiting from the Argentinean expertise in this field.

They also witnessed the signing of a memorandum of understanding on the exemption of visas for Qatari nationals, in addition to a memorandum of understanding on cooperation between the Ministry of Municipality and Environment of the State of Qatar and the Ministry of Production and Labor of the Argentine Republic. The aim is to establish consultations and cooperation in agriculture, livestock, fisheries and agricultural sectors.

The signing ceremony was attended by members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.

It was attended from the Argentinian side by a number of ministers.
