HH The Amir and President of Peru Discuss Relations, Regional and International Issues
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of the Republic of Peru Martín Alberto Vizcarra discussed the bilateral relations and ways to enhance cooperation between the two friendly countries in different fields especially economy, trade, investment, education, and sport.
The talks were held at the Presidential Palace in Lima, capital of Peru, and covered crucial regional and international issues of mutual interest. HH The Amir and HE the President exchanged viewpoints on the ongoing Gulf crisis. In this regard the Peruvian President accentuated the importance of respecting the sovereignty of States, and commended the meditation of HH the Amir of the State of Kuwait and the United States of America to find a solution for the crisis on the basis of dialogue and diplomatic ways.
The talks were attended by a number of Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir.
On the Peruvian side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies Ministers.
HH The Amir was accorded an official reception upon arrival at the Presidential Palace.
