HH The Amir Presented with Ecuadorian National Order of Merit
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani was awarded the Ecuadorian National Order of Merit by HE President Lenin Moreno of the Republic of Ecuador, at the Presidential "Carondelet Palace", Monday evening .
On this occasion, HE the President stated that this order is the highest decoration conferred on to heads of states, as a tribute to the good relations of friendship between the two countries and peoples, which he described as fruitful and not new , indicating that the Ecuadorian government seeks to strengthen these relations, which are strategic, expressing aspiration to expand them in the future, especially that the doors of Ecuador are open to Qatari partners.
"The State of Qatar is a model for the world in respecting the rights of others and the Charters of the United Nations," HE the President said.
For his part, HH The Amir thanked HE the President for this honour, which shows the strong relations between the two countries, expressing his optimism for these relations and his ambition to develop and promote them in various fields.
The honouring was attended by Their Excellencies members of the accompanying official delegation.
On Ecuadorian side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies ministers and senior officials.
