HH The Amir and President of Turkey Attend Signing of Agreement, MoUs and Final Statement
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan attended the signing of an agreement and number of memorandums of understanding between the governments of the two countries, following the fourth meeting of Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee, at Vahdettin Pavilion in Istanbul on Monday evening.
HH The Amir and HE the Turkish President witnessed the signing of a MoU between the Civil Aviation Authority of the State of Qatar and the Directorate General of Civil Aviation of the Republic of Turkey, and the signing of the executive program for the Cultural Year 2019-2020 of the MoU on cooperation in the field of culture between the two countries, aiming at promoting cultural exchange through the exchange of delegations and support the exchange of expertise and experiences among cultural institutions.
HH The Amir and HE the Turkish President also witnessed the signing of two cooperation protocols between the governments of the two countries, the first is on cooperation and training in the field of electronic warfare, and the second is on the exchange of members of the armed forces. They also witnessed the signing of a trade and economic partnership agreement aims at liberalizing trade in goods and services, cooperation in electronic commerce and attracting investment between the two sides.
The signing ceremonies were concluded by signing the joint statement issued by the fourth meeting of Qatar-Turkey Supreme Strategic Committee.
The signing ceremonies were attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir, and a number of Their Excellencies the ministers and senior officials from the Turkish side.
