HH The Amir Issues Directives to Support the Turkish Economy with QR55 Billion
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani issued directives that will see the State of Qatar to provide a host of economic projects, investments, and deposits worth a total of QR55 billion ($15 billion) to support the Turkish economy. This came in a meeting with HE President of the Republic of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan, which took place at the Presidential Complex in Ankara on Wednesday afternoon.
HH The Amir and HE the President discussed strategic bilateral relations. They also discussed ways to enhance bilateral cooperation in all fields, especially in economic and investment fields. They also discussed the latest regional and international developments, and exchanged views regarding them. Both sides stressed on the importance of resolving differences through dialogue and through diplomatic channels, in order to maintain the region's peace and stability.
The meeting was attended by their excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir. It was attended on the Turkish side by a number of their excellencies cabinet members.
