HH The Amir Holds Talks with Prime Minister of Malaysia
A session of official talks were held today between the State of Qatar led by His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and the Federal Kingdom of Malaysia led by HE Prime Minister Mohammad Najib Tun Abdul Razzak at the Prime Minister's premises in Kuala Lumpur.
During the session, HH The Amir and HE the Malaysian Prime Minister discussed bilateral relations and ways of supporting and developing them in various fields so as to push them forward to a wider strategic level.
The areas of cooperation which were discussed and reviewed during the session included economy, trade exchange, investment opportunities and human and social development, especially education, in order to serve the common interests of the two countries and for the benefit of the two brotherly peoples.
The talks also tackled a number of regional and international issues of mutual interest, especially means to enhance joint cooperation in the fight against terrorism.
The session was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying HH The Amir, while on the Malaysian side, it was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the ministers.
Earlier, HH The Amir and HE Prime Minister held a meeting during which they discussed the close ties that link the two countries and ways of developing them and exchanged views on issues on regional and international arenas.
