HH The Amir and Azerbaijan President Attend Signing of Agreements, MoUs
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and HE President of Azerbaijan Ilham Alyiev attended the signing of a number of agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between the two countries at the presidential palace in Baku today.
Qatar and Azerbaijan inked a protocol amending the agreement on mutual exemption of entry visas for holders of diplomatic and special passports, and holders of Azerbaijani service passports, as well as lifting the visa requirement for Qatari citizens entering the Republic of Azerbaijan.
The two sides also signed an agreement to form a joint economic, trading and technical committee and an agreement in the field of Justice.
HH The Amir and President Alyiev also attended the signing of MoUs in the area of Financial Policy and Budget and the field of Transportation; an MoU on Cooperation in the field of Agriculture; an MoU on Cooperation in the field of Vocational Training and Development; and an MoU in the fields of Education, Higher Education and Scientific Research.
The signing ceremony was attended by Their Excellencies members of the official delegation. From the Azeri side, the ceremony was attended by a number of Ministers.
