HH The Amir of Qatar, Venezuela's President Joint Statements
President Nicolas Maduro Morse of the Bolivarian Republic of Venezuela has expressed his pleasure with the visit by His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani to Venezuela, confirming that it is a close step to raising the level of bilateral relations between the two countries.
In a joint statements with HH The Amir, during the official reception held for HH The Amir at the Presidential Palace in the capital of Venezuela, Caracas today, the Venezuelan President said that Qatar and Venezuela are partners in the defense of oil over the past years and now are partners in the defense of gas as well.
The Venezuelan President added that this visit and the agreements that will be signed by the two countries reflect that relations between the two countries are strong and well-established and will flourish further in the future, especially with the spirit of love and solidarity that combines the two friendly countries.
For his part, HH The Amir expressed his pleasure over the visit and its importance in strengthening the relations between the two countries, noting that this visit is his second within one year, and that the meetings with the President during the year indicates the strength of relations between the two countries, stressing that bilateral relations will jump to higher and wider levels, especially after the signing of a number of agreements today.
HH The Amir referred to mutual understanding of both the Qatari and Venezuelan sides in many situations, especially the attitude toward the Arab people that want to live in freedom and dignity. HH The Amir praised Venezuela's position towards the Palestinian issue, and thanked the President for that.
