HH The Amir Meets Amir of Kuwait

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with HH The Amir of Kuwait Sheikh Sabah Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah at Dasman Palace here today.

At the outset of the meeting, HH The Amir offered condolences to Kuwait's Amir and people and to the families of the victims of the criminal attack that targeted a mosque in the Kuwaiti capital.

HH The Amir reiterated Qatar's support of sisterly Kuwait in all the measures they take to maintain Kuwait's security and stability, against terrorist extremism which contradicts the teachings of Islam and human moral and values.

During the meeting, the two leaders reviewed bilateral fraternal relations and means to develop and promote them in different fields. The two sides also discussed a host of regional and international issues, particularly the developments in the region.

The meeting was attended by HH Sheikh Jassim bin Hamad Al Thani, the Special Representative of HH The Amir, and Their Excellencies members of the accompanying delegation.

On the Kuwaiti side, the meeting was attended by Crown Prince Nawaf Al Ahmed Al Jaber Al Sabah, Speaker of National Assembly Marzouq Ali Al Ghanim, Prime Minister Jaber Al Mubarak Al Hamad Al Sabah and a number of Kuwaiti ministers and senior officials.

HH The Amir attended the Iftar Banquet which was hosted by HH The Amir of Kuwait in honor of His Highness and the accompanying delegation.
