HH The Amir Meets French National Assembly President

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani met with President of the National Assembly of France Claude Bartolone and a group of its members at the Assembly's headquarters in Paris.

At the outset of the meeting, Bartolone welcomed HH The Amir and the accompanying delegation, hailing the distinguished relations between the two friendly countries and peoples as well as the cooperation and partnership between them on all fronts.

The two sides stressed the deep ties between the friendly countries and the importance of enhancing cooperation and carrying on consultation on current issues.

In addition, they exchanged points of view on a set of international issues of mutual concern.

HH The Amir attended a luncheon banquet the French National Assembly's president hosted in honour of HH and the accompanying delegation.

Maurice Leroy, National Assembly vice president and head of the Qatar-France Friendship Society, attended the banquet along with a number of members of the Assembly.
