HH The Amir Patronizes Graduation Ceremony of Qatar University Students
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani patronized the graduation ceremony of the 43rd batch (class of 2020) of Qatar University students, which was held at the University's Sports and Events Complex this morning.
The ceremony was attended by HE Prime Minister and Minister of Interior Sheikh Khalid bin Khalifa bin Abdulaziz Al Thani and Their Excellencies members of the University's Board of Trustees and Vice-Presidents of the University.
HH The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani then honored the 109 outstanding graduates, while HE President of Qatar University (QU) handed the certificates to 733 graduate students in various disciplines.
A documentary film was shown about QU's achievements during the academic year 2019-2020, and the most prominent activities, programs and research innovations in various fields, in addition to a presentation on the university's ability to rapidly shift to online teaching during Covid-19 pandemic, the university's contributions to the country's efforts to combat the pandemic, the development of the university's infrastructure, and the opening of the College of Dental Medicine.
HE President of Qatar University Dr. Hassan Rashid Al Derham delivered a speech on the occasion. For his part, student Hamad Abdullah Al-Jumaili also delivered a speech on behalf of the graduates.
The graduation ceremony of the 43rd batch (class of 2020) of Qatar University students was held amidst precautionary and preventive measures to limit the spread of Covid-19.
