HH The Amir Opens Doha Forum 2019 on Saturday
His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani will open tomorrow, Saturday morning, the Doha Forum 2019, to be held under the theme Reimagining Governance in a Multipolar World.
The Forum will be attended by HE President Paul Kagame of the Republic of Rwanda, HE President Armen Sarkissian of the Republic of Armenia, HE President Nayib Bukele of the Republic of El Salvador, and HE the Prime Minister of Malaysia Dr. Mahathir Mohamad, HE Vice President of the Republic of Ecuador Otto Sonnenholzner, HE Chairman of the Presidential Council of Libya Fayez al-Sarraj, HE the Prime Minister of the Federal Republic of Somalia Hassan Ali Khairi, HE the Prime Minister of Antigua and Barbuda Gaston Browne and HE the President of the General Assembly of the United Nations Tijjani Muhammad-Bande.
HH The Amir will deliver a speech at the opening session of the Forum, in which He touches on the danger of a multipolar world becoming a fragmentation as a result of the major powers shirking their responsibilities towards the world, especially law enforcement and international legitimacy.
The Forum's program, which attracts 3,000 participants from different countries of the world and more than 250 speakers, includes a set of plenary and discussion sessions and keywords centred on global topics and issues such as migration, refugees, extremism, global governance challenges, agency wars, as well as regional cooperation mechanisms and new global balances.
