HH The Amir Chairs Meeting of Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani presided over the first meeting of the Supreme Council for Economic Affairs and Investment for 2014, held today at the Amiri Diwan.

The council discussed topics on the agenda and was briefed on the provision related to the follow-up of the Council's previous decisions and procedures taken thereon especially matters related to the latest developments of petrochemical industry affairs and projects of Qatar Petroleum International.

The council was also briefed on Qatar Petroleum International's plan of action and the investment strategy of Qatar Investment Authority and decided to approve the budgets of the company and the authority for fiscal year 2014 and also the budget of the Council for fiscal year 2014/2015.
