HH the Amir Forms National Human Rights Committee

 HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued Amiri Decision No. 40 of 2015, forming the National Human Rights Committee (NHRC).
The decision stipulates that the formation comprises:
1. Dr. Ali Said Samikh Al Marri Representative of the civil society
2. Dr. Yousef Mohamed Obaidan Fakhro Representative of the civil society
3. Dr. Mohamed Saif Al Kuwari Representative of the civil society
4. Dr. Asmaa Abdullah Mohamed Al Attiyah Representative of the civil society
5. Judge Fawaz Bakhit Al Jattal Representative of the civil society
6. Dr. Abdulaziz Abdulqader Al Mughaiseeb Representative of the civil society
7. Ms. Amal Abdullatif Al Mannai Representative of the civil society
8. Mr. Abdulrahman Mohamed Faisal Al Suwaidi Representative of the civil society
9. Ms. Mariam Abdullah Ali Al Attiyah Representative of the civil society
10. Sheikh Khalid bin Jassim Al-Thani Representative of the Foreign Ministry
11. Mr. Abdullah Saqr Al Mohannadi Representative of the Ministry of Interior
12. Mr. Mohamed Hassan Al Obaidly Representative of the Ministry of Justice
13. Mr. Saleh Said Hamad Al Shawi Representative of the Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs The decision also stipulates that the committee chooses a president and vice president from its civil society representative members. The committee membership's term is a renewable three years.
The decision is operative as of the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
