HH The Amir Issues Decision Re-Structuring Qatar Investment Authority

HH the Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani issued today Amiri decision No. 74 of 2013 re-structuring the Board of Directors of Qatar Investment Authority under the chairmanship of HH the Amir.

According to the decision membership of the board will be as follows:

  1. HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad bin Khalifa Al -Thani, Vice-Chairman.
  2. HE Ali Sharif Al Emadi : member.
  3. HE Sheikh Ahmed bin Jassim bin Mohammed Al-Thani: member.
  4. HE Sheikh Abdullah bin Saud Al-Thani: member.
  5. HE Dr. Hussein Ali Al-Abdullah :member.

The decision also stipulates that the Board membership duration shall be three years, renewable for another similar period or other similar periods.

The Amiri decision annulled the abovementioned Amiri decision No. 13 of 2012 and annulled any provision contravening its rules.

The decision shall go into effect from the date of issue and is to be published in the official gazette.
