His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi

Chief of the Amiri Diwan 

His Excellency Abdullah bin Mohammed bin Mubarak Al Khulaifi was appointed Chief of the Amiri Diwan on 12 November 2024, pursuant to the Amiri Order No. (3) of 2024. Prior to this, he served as the Head of the State Security Agency from 2018 to 2024.

He was born in Doha on 20 September 1980, where he received his school education before joining the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in the United Kingdom, and obtained a diploma in Military Science in 2001.

His Excellency held the position of Deputy Head of the State Security Agency in 2017 and rose through the ranks of security positions, holding several roles within the Agency from 2004 to 2013.

Previously, His Excellency also served as Attaché in the office of His Highness The Amir of the State of Qatar "may Allah protect him" from 2013 to 2014, before becoming a member of the Board of Directors of Vodafone Qatar in 2014, a position he held until 2015, after which he returned to leadership roles in the State Security Agency until 2024.

He began his career by joining the Qatari Armed Forces in 1999, where he served until 2000, moving then to the Intelligence and Security Directorate of the Armed Forces, where he worked from 2000 to 2004.
