HH The Deputy Amir Chairs Second Meeting of Qatar University Board of Trustees
His Highness The Deputy Amir Sheikh Abdullah bin Hamad Al Thani, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Qatar University (QU), presided over the second meeting of the Board of Trustees for the academic year (2020/2021), which was held via videoconference on Monday.
The Board reviewed the implemented decisions and recommendations taken during the first meeting of the 2020/2021 academic years.
The Board then discussed the topics listed on its agenda and took the appropriate decisions thereon, including the approval of the establishment of a number of master's programs, namely the master's of health professional education and executive master's in sports management programs. At the bachelor's level, the Board approved the revitalization of the Bachelor of Science in Physics program at the College of Arts and Sciences.
The Board also approved the establishment of a bachelor's program in Mechatronics at the College of Engineering, in addition to the establishment of a sub-specialization in engineering project management and a sub-specialization in cybersecurity for students of the College of Engineering.
