HH The Amir Receives Phone Call from the U.S. President

His Highness The Amir Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani received today a phone call from HE President of the friendly United States of America Joe Biden.

During the call HE the U.S. President expressed thanks and appreciation to HH The Amir for the State of Qatar's efforts of mediation between Israel and the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), which culminated in agreeing on a humanitarian pause in Gaza. He lauded His Highness' significant and positive role in promoting peace and stability in the Middle East.

On his part, HH The Amir affirmed the continuation of the State of Qatar's endeavors towards de-escalation and the protection of civilians in the Gaza Strip. He also praised the important role of HE President Biden and the U.S. administration in reaching a deal between the parties.

During the call, strategic relations between the two friendly countries as well as topics of mutual interest were discussed.
